How it works

They offer a 50% scholarship for women starting or transitioning careers into Data Science or Software development.

Eligibility

All female applicants of the Data Science or Full-stack coding bootcamps, coming via Women++ and who currently rely on financial support, are eligible to qualify for this scholarship. This opportunity is offered once per batch.

Financing for temporary workers

How it works

In Switzerland, Temporary Workers contribute to a fund called Temptraining, which provides financial support for vocational training for temporary employees, enabling them to progress in their careers and preparing them for the job market. Depending on your contributions, you can get up to CHF 5’000 off the training cost and CHF 2’250 for daily allowances.

Eligibility

For everyone who has worked as a temporary worker in Switzerland with a minimum of 88 hours and a maximum of 880 hours. Applicants must hold a permit and the last day of employment must be at most 6 months prior to the application date.

How it works

Candidates without a tertiary degree as well as employees of SMEs in sectors such as crafts, trade, food and retail will be given high priority. Also available for employees and freelancers.

Deduct the amount you paid for the training from your annual revenue

How it works

In Switzerland, you can deduct your education costs from your taxes - up to CHF 12’000 for state tax and CHF 12’700 for federal tax. This amount can vary depending on the canton you live in.

Get financial aid from the city of Zurich

How it works

From January 2023 you can apply to the City of Zurich and request financial assistance to start a new career. Consultation is free and if your application is accepted you will receive money for the training.

Eligibility

You need to be at least 20 years old, have lived in the city of Zurich for at least 2 years and have been working for the last 5 years on a low income. Most importantly, this applies only to those who have not completed any training in more than 3 years.
